This is a new release collectors model in 1:43 scale by Aoshima of Japan in their DISM series, brand new in original packaging, Aoshima item number AD 74077.

The Toyota Celica XX was the predecessor to the Supra range, and was effectively an upmarket Celica fitted with various six cylinder engines. XX's were well equipped, with aircon, central locking, cruise control, full independant suspension, four wheel disc brakes and five speed manual or auto transmissions. The 2000 G-Turbo modelled here was one of the most powerful versions in the range, with the 2.0 litre 24 valve DOHC six cylinder engine turbocharged and intercooled and producing some 160 bhp.

This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with low profile tyres and brake detail with brake discs and calipers fitted at all four wheels. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately with accurate colour scheme and all correct markings and decals. Other features include windscreen wipers front and rear, rear view mirrors, rear spoiler plus all the correct badges, vents and grilles. Underbody detail includes suspension and transmission details and exhaust system. The model also features operating headlights and taillights and comes complete with batteries.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, centre console with gearshift lever, rear view mirror, properly contoured and coloured seats and full detailed door trims with all handles and armrests.

The model comes mounted on a black plastic plinth with clear plastic display box and outer cardboard window box.

Aoshima models are amongst the finest 1:43 scale models of their type available. Detail and finish are absolutely top class and second to none in this price range. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.

Aoshima is a Japanese company mainly known for its range of plastic construction kits. However they do also produce a small range of diecast scale models in 1:43 scale. They are made in China and sold almost exclusively to the Japanese market, therefore are difficult to source elsewhere. All items are well researched and produced with meticulous attention to detail a high level of finish and detailing.
