This is a new release collectors model in 1:43 scale by Aoshima of Japan in their DISM series, brand new in original packaging, Aoshima item number AD 74527.

The Mitsubishi Starion was produced between 1982 and 1990, and featured Mitsubishi's two litre turbocharged four cylinder engine. Power output varied between 150 and 195 bhp depending on engine variations. This model represents the GSR-VR version which was sold on the Japanese home market and featured the wide body kit with wheel arch flares and rear spoiler.

This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with low profile tyres and brake detail with brake discs and calipers fitted to all four wheels. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately with accurate colour scheme and all correct markings and decals. Other features include rear view mirrors, windscreen wipers front and rear, rear spoiler plus all the correct badges, vents and grilles. Underbody detail includes suspension and transmission details and exhaust system. The model also features adjustable height suspension system.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, centre console with gearshift lever, rear view mirror, proper contoured and coloured seats, detailed door trims with all handles and armrests plus many other details.

The model comes mounted on a black plastic plinth with clear plastic display box and outer cardboard window box.

Aoshima models are amongst the finest 1:43 scale models of their type available. Detail and finish are absolutely top class and second to none in this price range. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.

Aoshima is a Japanese company mainly known for its range of plastic construction kits. However they do also produce a small range of diecast scale models in 1:43 scale. They are made in China and sold almost exclusively to the Japanese market, therefore are difficult to source elsewhere. All items are well researched and produced with meticulous attention to detail a high level of finish and detailing.
