This is a new release collectors model in 1:43 scale by Aoshima of Japan in their DISM series, brand new in original packaging, Aoshima item number AD 75135.

The Toyota Soarer was introduced in 1981 and had a long production run until 2005. The early models were front engined rear wheel drive and were fitted with various six cylinder engines. They were well equipped, with aircon, central locking, cruise control, full independant suspension, four wheel disc brakes and five speed manual or auto transmissions. The 2800GT-Limited modelled here was not only more luxurious but also one of the most powerful versions in the range, with the 2.8 litre 24 valve DOHC six cylinder engine producing some 170 bhp.

This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with low profile tyres. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately with accurate colour scheme and all correct markings and decals. Other features include windscreen wipers front and rear, rear view mirrors, rear spoiler, finely moulded and plated window frames plus all the correct badges, vents and grilles. Underbody detail includes suspension and transmission details and exhaust system. The model also features adjustable height suspension.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, centre console with gearshift lever, rear view mirror, properly contoured and coloured seats and full detailed door trims with all handles and armrests.

The model comes mounted on a black plastic plinth with clear plastic display box and outer cardboard window box.

Aoshima models are amongst the finest 1:43 scale models of their type available. Detail and finish are absolutely top class and second to none in this price range. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.

Aoshima is a Japanese company mainly known for its range of plastic construction kits. However they do also produce a small range of diecast scale models in 1:43 scale. They are made in China and sold almost exclusively to the Japanese market, therefore are difficult to source elsewhere. All items are well researched and produced with meticulous attention to detail a high level of finish and detailing.
