Ferrari 225S
GP di Montecarlo 1952 - Vittorio Marzotto
Art Model item 114

Rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Art Model of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Art Model item number 114.

This is a finely detailed model of the Ferrari 225S Vignale bodied Spyder (chassis number 0154ED). The 225S was only produced in very limited numbers, with only 15 Spyders and 6 Berlinettas being made. This car was purchased by Vittorio Marzotto in 1952. His first outing was the Mille Miglia of that year where he did not finish, but success was to come at Montecarlo in June 1952 for the Grand Prix de Monaco. This was a significant event for Ferrari, as not only did Marzotto win the 100 lap race, but the 225S Ferraris of Castellotti, Stagnoli, Biondetti/Lucas and Pagnibon followed him home to take a clean sweep of the first five places.

This model features fine photo etched wire wheels with spun aluminium rims, knock off hubs and correct profile tyres, a fully detailed interior with bucket seats, door trims, rear view mirror, gearshift, fully detailed dashboard and instrument panel, woodrim steering wheel with photo etched metal spokes and Ferrari horn button, windscreen with photo etched frame, clutch, brake and accelerator pedals plus lots of fine photo etchings for the panel catches and grilles.

Other external details include all correct badges and filler caps. The underside of the model is also detailed with some chassis detail, engine sump, transmission and exhaust system. This is a truly magnificent model of one of the all time classic racing Ferrari spyders.

Art Model items come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
