This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Best Model of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Best Model item number 9039.

John Wyer Automotive entered three of the Porsche 908/3 sports racing cars in the 1970 Targa Florio and they dominated the event. Leo Kinnunen set the fastest lap of the race in the number 40 car, and the number 12 car of Jo SIffert and Brian Redman was fastest in practice and also won the event outright. Kinnunen and Pedro Rodriguez finished in second while the number 36 car of Bjorn Waldegaard and Richard Attwood followed them home in fifth place.

This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with knock off hubs and correct profile race tyres. The body is nicely modelled and captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. It is finished in authentic colours and carries all the correct race logos and decals. The underside is also nicely finished with some chassis and mechanical details and exhaust system represented.

The interior features steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instruments, race seats and gearshift, detailed engine and engine bay, roll cage and many other details.

Best Model items come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
