This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Best Model of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Best Model item number 9072.

This is a finely detailed model of the Porsche 908/3 as raced by Martini International Racing. The model depicts the car as it ran at the ADAC 1000km at Nurburgring in 1971 which was round 8 of the World Championship for Sports Cars. Martini entered two of the flat eight three litre Porsches in the event, and they finished in first and third positions. The third place car was only one tenth of a second away from making it a Martini one/two finish, being just beaten to the line by the John Wyer entered 908/3. This is the number four car driven by Gijs van Lennep and Helmut Marko which took third position.

This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with correct profile race tyres, exterior rear view mirror, roll cage, filler caps and photo etched panel catches. The body is nicely modelled and captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. It is finished in authentic colours and carries all teh correct sponsors logos and decals, including the spectacular Martini Racing stripes. The underside is also nicely finished with rear transmission and axles and full exhaust system represented.

The interior features steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instrumnets, race seats and gearshift. There is also a detailed engine visible through the rear bodywork.

Best Model items come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
