This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Best Model of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Best Model item number 9166.

This is a model of Ferrari 250 LM chassis number 5843. This car had an illustrious racing career in the mid to late sixities competing in many events at the hands of many different drivers. It is depicted here when painted yellow and entered in the Paris 1000km race at Monthlery 16th October 1966. Drivers for this event were Pierre Noblet and Gustave Gosselin, they finished the event in 7th position. The car was sold to US buyers in 1970 and has remained there since.

This is an exceptional model and no doubt one of the best 1:43 scale models of the 250LM available. The photo etched wire wheels are superb with the correct profile tyres and knock off hubs. Other details are very complete, the model featuring a fully detailed interior with gearshift, chassis tube detail, fire extinguisher, pedals, very nice dashboard and instruments, woodrim steering wheel with photo etched metal spokes and Ferrari horn button, race seats and many photo etched parts including wipers, panel catches and rear view mirrors.

Best Model items come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
