This is a finely detailed model of the Lola T70 Spyder. In 1966 Mark Donahue had his first drive in the awesome Roger Penske/Sunoco Lola T70 Spyder. His first race in the car was at the opening round of the 1966 season at St Jovite in Canada. The Lola was to carry Mark to his first SCCA USRRC Championship in the following year, winning 6 of the 7 races.

This is a definitive model of the Mark Donahue Lola and without a doubt one of the finest 1:43 scale examples built to date. It features amazing mechanical detail including engine complete with injector trumpets, exhaust headers and gearbox, full interior detail with roll cage, race seat and harness, gearshift mechanism, fire extinguisher, detailed instrument panel and steering wheel, windscreen mounted rear view mirror, filler caps, many photo etched parts including front grille and rear spoiler, beautifully cast wheels with knock off hubs and authentic rubber tyres with Firestone sidewall markings. All this is topped off with a beautiful Penske Blue paint finish and all the correct decals as per the original car.
