This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Best Model of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Best Model item number 9247.

In 1967 the Le Mans 24 Hour was the seventh round of the World Championship for Sports Cars. Lola Cars/Team Surtees entered this Aston Martin powered T70 MKIII in the event, to be driven by Chris Irwin and Peter de Klerk. They did not finish due to an engine failure early in the event.

This is a definitive model of the Lola T70 and without a doubt one of the finest 1:43 scale examples built to date. It features amazing mechanical detail including engine complete with injector trumpets or carburettors (depending on versions), exhaust headers and gearbox, full interior detail with detailed dashboard and instrument panel, roll cage, race seat and harness, gearshift mechanism, fire extinguisher, steering wheel, rear view mirrors, filler caps, many photo etched parts, beautifully cast wheels with knock off hubs and authentic rubber tyres with sidewall markings.

The upper body of the model and the underside are all made in diecast metal, no plastic baseplate on this model. All this is topped off with a beautiful paint finish and all the correct markings and decals as per the original car.

Best Model items come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
