This is a rare collectors model in 1:64 scale by Carisma of Hong Kong, brand new in original packaging, Carisma item number 64001.

This is a model of the Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI rally car from 1999. That year was the 29th Rally New Zealand and as usual attracted a top quality field. The event was another victory for Mitsubishi with Tommi Makinen and Risto Mannisenmaki taking out the event 1 minute 37 seconds ahead of the Subaru of Juha Kankkunen.

The Carisma model features accurate cast alloy wheels with proper profile tyres and brake detail, and a nicely modelled body finished in authentic red that captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. Other features include windscreen wipers, external rear view mirrors, spoiler, roof vent detailed headlights and grille, plus all correct rally markings and sponsors logos from the event.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel and column switches, detailed dashboard and instrument panel, centre console with gearshift lever and handbrake, detailed door trims, full roll cage, proper race seats, fire extinguisher plus other appropriate race car details.

Carisma models are amongst the finest of their type and scale available, being produced by the same manuafacturer in China as AutoArt and similar. They come attractively packaged in a window box with the model mounted on a black plastic plinth with clear plastic display cover. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
