This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro item number 43037.

The Datsun Fairlady was a big hit when it first appeared as it offered a lot more creature comforts than the British roadsters that had preceeded it. Performance was reasonable with a fairly basic 1600 ohv engine and four speed gearbox, and for its day it was very well equipped with such luxuries as radio, wind-up windows and a heater!

This model features accurate wheels with hubcaps and proper profile tyres, and a nicely modelled body that captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. Other features include finely moulded grilles, window frames, windscreen wipers, fuel cap, external rear view mirrors, door handles and bumpers.

The interior is also well done, with steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, rear view mirror, centre console with gearshift lever, detailed door trims with all correct handles, window winders and armrests plus proper contoured and coloured seats.

This model also has a removable tonneau cover and comes complete with two roof options, either hardtop or softtop, so the model can be displayed in three variations.
