Rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro item number 43103.

This is a finely detailed model of the Nissan Fairlady 240Z that won the East Africa Safari Rally in 1971. In that year the Safari was the fourth round of the Manufacturers Championship. Held over a gruelling 6400 kilometre gravel course, the event took its toll on the 107 starters with only 32 finishers making it back to Nairobi. The number 11 Nissan Motor Company entry was driven by Kenyan Edgar Herrmann and navigated by West German Hans Schuller.

Ebbro models are collectors items, made in diecast metal and using many other materials for detailing where appropriate. This model features accurate wheels with proper profile winter tread tyres, fully detailed interior with steering wheel, column switches, detailed instrument panel, rear view mirrors, rally seats, centre console with gearshift, detailed door trims with all correct handles, window winders and armrests and spare wheel and tyre. The exterior features fine windscreen wipers, door handles, mudflaps, all extra driving lights, reversing lights and fog lamps as per the original car, exhaust system, external rear view mirrors plus all badges, grilles, sponsors decals and Safari Rally plates .

Ebbro models are amongst the finest 1:43 scale models of their type available. Detail and finish are absolutely top class and second to none in this price range. All are limited editions, this item being one of only 3000 pieces originally produced for worldwide distribution. These are individually hand assembled pieces and are not toys. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
