This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro item number 43314.

In 1955 the Japanese Government announced a plan for the introduction of a series of Peoples Cars, and the Publica was Toyota's variation on the theme released in 1961. It broke away from the then prolific three wheelers and micro cars, at last offering the Japanese motorist an affordable four seater capable of over 100kmh. The Publica was a huge success and led to many more popular models in the ensuing years.

This Ebbro model features accurate wheels with plated hubcaps and proper profile tyres, and a nicely modelled body finished in authentic white that captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. Other features include finely moulded window frames, photo etched windscreen wipers, external rear view mirrors, nicely moulded bumpers and all correct external badges.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel and column switches, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, rear view mirror, column gearshift lever, detailed door trims with all correct handles, window winders and armrests plus proper contoured and coloured seats.
