This is a very rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro item number 43328. The Honda NSX has been Honda's flagship sports car since its introduction way back in 1990. The Type R versions feature many improvements in performance over the standard versions, with more power, revised suspension and lighter kerb weight. The second generation Type R was released in 2002 and it featured the 3.2 litre V6 with 290 bhp driving through a six speed gearbox. Larger brakes and lighter weight due to more use of aluminium castings meant that performance was better than ever. The body also featured aerodynamic revisions for improved high speed balance and roadholding. This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with low profile tyres and full brake detail with both brake discs and calipers on all four wheels, and a nicely modelled body finished in an authentic white colour scheme that captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. Other features include finely moulded window frames, windscreen wipers, external rear view mirrors, rear spoiler and all correct external logos and badges. The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel and column switches, fully detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, rear view mirror, centre console with gearshift lever and handbrake, door trims with all correct handles and armrests and properly coloured and contoured seats. There is also amazing engine detail visible through the rear window, with the engine and all ancillary components accurately modelled and coloured. The underbody also inludes many chassis details and exhaust system. A truly magnificent model. Ebbro models are amongst the finest 1:43 scale models of their type available. Detail and finish are absolutely top class and second to none in this price range. All are limited editions, this item particularly rare being one of only 3000 pieces originally produced for worldwide distribution. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging. |
