This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro item number 43491.

This is a finely detailed model of one of the Dome S101 cars from the Le Mans 24 hour of 2003. In that year there were three of the Dome S101 LMP cars in the event, two Judd engined examples entered by Dutch team Racing for Holland and one Mugen powered version entered by Kondo Racing from Japan. The Racing for Holland cars had probably the most unusual livery seen in the event's history, with the cars being totally covered in black and white sponsors decals.

The number 16 car modelled here was driven by Filipe Ortiz, Beppe Gabbiani and Tristan Gommendy. They retired in the 16th hour after an accident.

This model features accurate Velm cast alloy wheels with Michelin race tyres and amazing brake detail with both cabon fibre brake discs and AP Racing brake calipers fitted to all four wheels. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately. Other external features include all correct race markings and sponsorships (hundreds of sponsors decals!) external rear view mirrors, radio aerial, spoilers and vents. The rear bodywork is removeable to reveal a fully detailed engine and transmission, with many ancillary parts and exhaust system all accurately modelled.

The interior is equally well detailed, with race seat and harness, fully detailed dashboard and instrument panel, rear view mirrors, steering wheel plus fire extinguisher and various other race related details. This is quite an amazing model, not only for the unique exterior finish but also the amount of internal and engine detail included.
