This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro item number 43781.

In the early nineties there was a boom in the small sportscar market within the Japanese keicar class. There was the Honda Beat, Autozam AZ-1, and Suzuki's entrant the Cappuccino. Probably the best looker in the class, it featured a removable hardtop and folding rear window which made it quite snug even with the roof down. The engine was a twin cam, 12 valve inline three cylinder with turbocharger and intercooler and producing 64 bhp.

Performance and handling were great, helped by the double wishbone suspension all round, four wheel disc brakes and conventional front engine rear drive layout. It was produced over a six year period from 1991 to 1997.

The Ebbro model features accurate cast alloy wheels with proper profile tyres, amazing brake detail with both brake discs and calipers fitted to all four wheels and a nicely modelled body finished in authentic metallic silver that captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. Other features include finely moulded window frames, windscreen wipers, external rear view mirrors, colour coded bumpers and all correct external vents and badges. The underside is also well detailed and includes chassis details and exhaust system.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel and column switches, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, rear view mirror, centre console with gearshift lever and handbrake, detailed door trims with all correct handles, window winders and armrests plus proper contoured and coloured seats. The rear window folds in and out of the rear bodywork just like the real article, and the model is supplied with a removable hardtop so that it can be displayed either open or closed.

Ebbro models are amongst the finest 1:43 scale models of their type available. Detail and finish are absolutely top class and second to none in this price range. All are limited editions, this item being one of only 3000 pieces originally produced for worldwide distribution. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
