This is a highly detailed and rare collectors model in 1:24 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro Premium Collection item number 24002.

In 1999 Honda introduced its S2000 sports car to celebrate the company's 50th Anniversary. Continuing in the tradition of the previous S series cars, the S2000 was a technically innovative roadster offering state of the art performance. The engine is two litres with double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. It produces 240 bhp at 8,300 rpm and is redlined at 9,000 rpm.

The S2000 is front engined, rear wheel drive, and features a six speed gearbox and Torsen limited slip differential. Suspension is by double wishbones front and rear, and it runs on 16" alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tyres. The body features integrated roll hoops and a power operated canvas top that erects itself in only six seconds.

The Ebbro model is one of their Premium Collection series in 1:24 sclae, and features cast alloy wheels with proper profile tyres and disc brakes and calipers fitted to all four wheels. The body is nicely modelled and finished in the authentic colours, it captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. All panels open and close as in the original car, doors, engine compartment and luggage compartment, to reveal fully detailed interiors.

The tonneau cover is removable and there is a soft top supplied as well, so the model can be displayed open or closed. Other external features include finely moulded window frames and trim strips, windscreen wipers, external rear view mirrors, radio aerial, nicely detailed grille and headlights, rear tail and stop lights, number plate frames, filler cap and all correct external vents and badges.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel, centre console with gearshift and handbrake lever, fully detailed dashboard and instrument panel with instrument faces, radio, knobs, switches and other features shown, pedals, sun visors, rear view mirror, detailed door trims with all correct handles, window winders and armrests plus proper contoured and coloured seats.

The opening bonnet (engine compartment) is moulded correctly on the underside and is complete with soundproofing and service information stickers. The engine and engine bay are beautifully detailed, with complete engine and transmission detail, radiator and hoses, battery, intake and exhaust system, master cylinder, fluid bottles plus lots of other minor details too numerous to mention here. The boot (luggage compartment) also opens to reveal interior detail including the tool kit, spare tyre cover and felt coverings.

Underneath the model has full chassis detail, with all underside panels properly reproduced, fuel tank, chassis components, suspension components, exhaust system, all axles, springs, driveshafts and transmission components, plus the front wheels steer and can be posed in any position
