1972 - Red Ixo French Classics Collection |

This is a collectors model, diecast metal in 1:43 scale by IXO, brand new in original packaging. Alpine was founded by Jean Redele, and after success in modifying and racing Renaults he started production of his own cars in 1955 with the A106. This pretty coupe had fibreglass bodywork mounted on the chassis and mechanicals of the popular Renault 4CV. The basic design evolved over the years into the A110 models and then to the A310, the subject of this scale model. It featured a rear mounted Gordini modified engine from the Renault 17 series. This 1:43 scale model features accurate cast alloy wheels with correct profile tyres. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately with accurate colour scheme and all correct markings and decals. Other features include windscreen wipers, rear view mirror, air vents, exhaust system plus all the correct badges and decals. The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel, centre console with gearshift and handbrake, column switches, detailed dashboard and instrument panel, detailed door trims correctly contoured seats. The model comes mounted on a black plastic plinth with a clear plastic display box. This item is brand new in original packaging. |
