1971 - Metallic Bronze Ixo French Classics Collection |

This is a collectors model, diecast metal in 1:43 scale by IXO, brand new in original packaging. The Citroen GS was released in the early seventies as a new line of medium sized cars to fill the gap between the 2CV and the DS series. Like most Citroens it was quite innovative for its time and proved popular with sales of around 1.9 million in its nine year production span. It was voted European Car of the Year in 1971. This 1:43 scale model features accurate wheels with correct profile tyres. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately with accurate colour scheme and all correct markings and decals. Other features include fine windscreen wipers, rear view mirror, plated bumpers, fine window frames, air vents, exhaust system plus all the correct badges and decals. The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel and column switches, centre console with gearshift and handbrake, detailed dashboard and instrument panel, detailed door trims and correctly contoured and coloured seats. The model comes mounted on a black plastic plinth with a clear plastic display box. This item is brand new in original packaging. |
