This is a rare new release collectors model, diecast metal in 1:43 scale by Progetto K of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Progetto K item number 0297.

The Abarth 1300 Sport Coupe was a modified version of the Fiat 850 Sport Coupe, its original 903cc engine being replaced with an Abarth modified 1300cc unit from the Fiat 124 saloon range. Modifications also included a larger front mounted radiator. The extra power gave the little coupe amazing performance and they were raced extensively in touring car events of the time. This is the version which raced in the Italian championship races at the Vallelunga circuit outside of Rome in 1970.

This model features accurate Cromodora cast alloy wheels with correct profile tyres. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately with authentic colour scheme and all correct race markings and decals. Other features include windscreen wipers, exhaust system, grilles plus all the correct badges and vents.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel, dashboard and instrument panel, bucket seats, door trims and gearshift lever.

The model comes mounted on a black plastic plinth with clear plastic display box and outer cardboard window box.

Progetto K models are all 1:43 scale replicas of some of the more interesting and unusual Italian vehicles. These are hand assembled models and only produced in small quantities, all are limited editions. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.
