Meo Constantini - Targa Florio Winner 1926 Revival item 80102 |
|
This is a rare multimedia construction kit in 1:20 scale by Revival of Italy, complete and brand new in original packaging, Revival item number 80102. The mid twenties was an important era for Bugatti as it saw the introduction of the famous Type 35 race car which was successful in events in many countries and at the hands of many drivers. It's light weight, excellent power and balanced chassis made it a sweet car to drive and no doubt helped its success and popularity with drivers. Between 1925 and 1929 the Type 35 won the famous Targa Florio five times straight, twice at the hands of Italian driver Meo Constantini. His 1926 victory was with a Type 35T or Targa Florio model, which was a non-supercharged 2.3 litre version and the subject of this model. This win aided Bugatti to win the 1926 World Manufacturer's Championship and also gave Constantini a win in the unofficial World Driver's Championship. This Revival kit captures Constantini's Bugatti beautifully in every detail. The metal body is pre-painted in authentic French Blue, and all the other details are there, including diecast metal parts for the chassis, engine, some suspension components plus numerous metal screws, springs, rods and other miscellaneous parts. Other parts are made out of plastic, rubber and other materials where appropriate to enable an accurate model to be constructed with minute detail. The wheels and tyres are particularly good, with accurate Pirelli race tyre pattern on the rubber tyres plus the very best pre-constructed wire wheels you will ever see. These wheels are all metal and pre-assembled by Revival with a patented process, the spokes are very fine and to scale and the metal hubs and rims are very realistic - together these wheels and tyres really finish these models off beautifully. Revival construction kits are predominantly diecast metal and are only produced in limited quantities. The main body shell parts are metal and also pre-painted in the correct colours. All other parts require painting and finishing as with any kit. These are collectors items and are recommended for serious modellers. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging. |

Revival was the sucessor to the original Casadio kits produced in Italy in the sixties and seventies.
