#240 - Pierre Roze/J F Dubesay Rio item 4162 |

This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Rio of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Rio item number 4162. The Citroen DS 19 was widely used in motorsport, mainly rallies, and this is an early example which was driven in the Mille Miglia of 1957. The car was driven by Pierre Roze and J F Dubesay, and they finished in second place in the two litre touring class. This model features finely detailed wheels, rubber tyres, fully detailed interior with proper shaped seats, detailed dashboard with interior rear view mirror, instrument panel and the signature single spoke steering wheel. External details include accurate plated bumpers and trim pieces, authentic paintwork and rally decals plus fine photo etchings for the windscreen wipers and radio aerial. Rio models come mounted on a black plastic plinth in a clear plastic display box with outer cardboard window box. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging. |

Rio Rio is a range produced by the Italian company M4, who also manufacture Art Model and Best Model. The original family company has only recently been aquired by M4 and they are in the process of re-issuing some of the older items with improved detailing. The Rio range covers a very diverse series of vehicles from the 1900' s to the last few decades. The models are made in diecast metal with many other materials included for detailing, such as plastics, rubber and fine photo etchings on most items. They are individually hand assembled and finished in the M4 factory in Pesaro, Italy. These models collectors items and are not toys. |
