This is a rare collectors model handbuilt in resin in 1:43 scale by Top Model Collection of Italy, brand new in original packaging, Top Model item number 3022.

The Fiat Punto Kit Car was one of the top contenders in the Super 1600 category of the European Rally Championship. It used Fiat's 1600cc 16 valve inline four, fuel injected and producing around 220bhp. The Punto has a Hewland six speed sequential transmission and Hewland limited slip differential. Brakes are Brembo discs all round. This example is the car driven by Portuguese team José Pedro Fontes and Nuno da Silva. Their Vodafone/Fiat sponsored car ran in the 2002 Rali Vinho da Madeira. They were well up by the end of division one but unfortunately blew an engine in the second division and retired.

This model features accurate cast alloy wheels with correct profile tyres and brake detail with brake discs and calipers fitted to all four wheels. The body is very nicely proportioned and depicts the original car very accurately with accurate colour scheme and all correct markings and decals. Other features include rear view mirrors, filler caps, radio aerial, rear spoiler plus all the correct badges, vents and grilles.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, gearshift lever, roll cage, race seats and harnesses, spare tyre, fire extinguisher plus many other details.

The model comes mounted on a black plastic plinth with clear plastic display box and outer cardboard window box.
